Craigholme School in the Southside of Glasgow, is the top independent girls' school in the West of Scotland. The school provides an all-through education for girls aged 5-18 years. With 120 years of experience in educating girls, Craigholme teaches pupils to achieve excellent academic results as well as the necessary life skills to succeed in their future careers.
Research shows that girls perform better in single sex schools with small class sizes. In 2013 Craigholme was among the top five best performing schools in Scotland with a 93 per cent pass rate at Higher. The school also has a sector leading Music Department, a strong track record of achievement in the arts and an impressive £2 million Sports Complex.
The school also has a Nursery for girls and boys aged 3-5 years.
“Due to Craigholme’s small class sizes our two daughters have really grown in confidence. The school has a unique ability to tailor learning to the needs of the individual child and play to their strengths.
This could involve Early Intervention, to provide extra help in specific subjects or the Advanced Program, if the child is particularly talented. Both of our daughters are doing exceptionally well thanks to the school’s ability to focus on what works best for them as individuals.”
