Charities Committee

The Charities Committee is run by a group of nominated S6 pupils. The Committee work as a team to plan and organise activities and events to raise funds for their nominated charity. Last year, thanks to the generosity, enthusiasm and tireless energy of pupils, parents and staff, Craigholme raised £11, 800 for Yorkhill Children’s Foundation through a variety events including a Mastermind Quiz, Pirate Day and sponsorship of the Women’s 10K team.

Other charities who have benefited from the school's fundraising activities include: Childline, Teenage Cancer Trust, Children in Need; the Tsunami Appeal; SENSE and the Samaritans.

Women's 10K 2011
Parents, staff and senior pupils are invited to form a Craigholme team for the Women's 10K in May 2011. Training starts on Tue 28 September, meeting in The Hub, lead by Mrs J Gilliland (Deputy Principal). Last year a team of 48 ran the race and raised thousands of pounds for the school charity Yorkhill Children's Foundation.
