The Chemistry Club provides an opportunity for J7 pupils to experiment with wet bench top chemistry and the opportunity to develop a stronger interest in chemistry through exciting practical work.
The Chemistry Club is based on and supported by the Salter's Chemistry Club. The Chemistry Club meets at lunchtime from 1:10pm every Wednesday. It is open to all pupils in Junior 7 with the opportunity for older pupils to continue membership by helping with its running.
The activities are mainly based on developing good, safe practice and observation skills and at developing investigative skills, but most of all, to have fun while learning a bit of Chemistry. Some of the activities are:
SLIME!
Laboratory toothpaste
Festive air fresheners
Electric writing
The Craigholme Mystery (Forensic investigation)
Mr. M.'s Laboratory Ice Cream
