News

We would especially like to hear your news. It may be that you’ve reached an interesting milestone in your life, taken on a difficult challenge or found yourself in an unusual situation. Please get in touch with on 0141 4190 971 or development@craigholme.co.uk .

We are aiming to become more environmentally friendly by communicating with more Former Pupils by e-mail and are gradually moving away from paper-based communications, including sending the Update newsletter by post. To receive Friends of Craigholme news by e-mail, we would be grateful if you can notify us of your e-mail address by contacting Laura Leslie through the above contact details or complete the former pupil registration form.

Archivist
Archivist, Veronica Whymant, a graduate from the Information Management and Preservation course at Glasgow University, is undertaking voluntary work on the school archives. We would very much appreciate your help in the matter of increasing the School’s archives. One of our goals is to bring the archive into the curriculum but for this to happen, we require more material. You may think that you would rather not part with your memorabilia reminding you of your great days at school, but it is for a worthwhile cause!  If you are amenable to the idea of your items becoming part of the School’s past, present and future and would like them to be preserved for posterity, then please do consider donating them. The greater the variety, the stronger the archive will become.

The materials presently contained within the archive are school magazines (1945-Present); prospectuses; photographs and photograph albums; various items of uniform; newspaper cuttings; School Centenary material; books given as prizes and Record Books for the Houses.  If you are uncertain whether your item may be suitable for the archive then please don’t hesitate to contact Veronica, either through the Development Office or directly at veronica.whymant@gmail.com .
