Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Craigholme School - the only independent school in the west of Scotland that caters exclusively for five to 18 year old girls, as well as a co-educational nursery for three to five-year-olds. Education at Craigholme is education in its widest sense. It embraces academic success for all, along with the development of self-confidence and the essential life skills to succeed in a world of constant change and uncertainty. We achieve this by focusing on the individual and providing supportive relationships, so that each girl's potential is identified, developed and celebrated.

Pupils’ individual talents are fostered and we instil in them a determination to succeed in all that they do. It is our ethos to produce not only academically talented individuals, but also well-rounded, responsible citizens of the future.

Throughout the school, pupils experience success in a variety of forms, whether on the stage, in the classroom or on the sports field.  Pupils’ sporting aptitude is encouraged with investment in a stunning £2 million sports complex.

After finishing S6, the majority of our pupils go on to university and significant numbers have gained places at Oxford, Cambridge, and other leading institutions.
