At this stage we aim to cherish the individual and put in place the foundations for life long learning. Our co-educational nursery provides a caring, happy and stimulating environment where modern facilities encourage children to learn and grow through organised play and exploration.
A broad and rounded curriculum is delivered for boys and girls aged 3-5 years old. The curriculum is further enhanced by specialist teaching in French, Music and Physical Education.
Older children provide role models and partnerships in learning for younger children. Craigholme Senior School pupils regularly visit the Nursery in this capacity and provide a positive influence on the younger children's confidence and self-esteem.
NURSERY AWARDED TOP MARKS
In Care Commission inspections, our care standards are consistently met at the highest level and the Nursery's "very happy atmosphere" has been referred to as unique.
In the most recent report, Craigholme was awarded an Excellent - the highest possible grade - for the quality statement within the Quality of Staffing theme.

As part of the Commission's evaluation process, nursery parents were asked to complete an annonymous questionnaire. The responses were extremely positive.
One parent said, "It is rare to have such confidence in a service providing care to the most precious and valuable asset within your family. I could not recommend this childcare facility any higher."
