Founded in 1894, Craigholme School has established an enviable reputation as a leading player in the independent sector. Our school is renowned for its academic acheivements, dedication to small class sizes and welcoming environment. An inspiring 'can do' attitude pervades the school and is often quoted by parents and past pupils alike as the lasting heritage of a Craigholme education
The Craigholme Foundation, established in 2002, is a registered charity (SCO 04118) which raises funds to support the school's long-term development programme, predominantly by engaging the support of major donors and through fundraising events. Since its inception The Craigholme Foundation has supported a number of significant projects from the school's Development Programme, including the Nursery, the Advanced Science Laboratory and a new Music Suite. It also supports the school's bursary scheme.
The School Board is continually monitoring, evaluating and reviewing its long-term strategy for continued success. Consequently it identified the pressing need for the creation of a new, custom-built sports complex facilitating both excellence in performance and access to an increased number of physical activities for all pupils.
Craigholme School Sports Complex was completed in December 2006 and came into use January 2007. This £2 million building is vital to Craigholme and it has further beneficial impact on the school estate by releasing valuable space for the expansion and development of our existing academic departments.

In Barak Obama's recent US election campaign, he managed to raise a lot because many people gave a little. We are hoping to encourage similar support from the Craigholme community by encouraging friends to join Club 600. By making a donation of £10 per month for 5 years, your gift would amount to £600. If Gift Aid was applied, this would increase to £750 at no extra cost to you. If 25% of our friends commited to donating £600, the school could raise over £64,000. This would increase to over £80,000 if Gift Aid was applied.
We are raising funds for bursaries, our Future Vision plans and where ever the school needs it most. You can chose where you would prefer your gift to be directed. If you can, please consider lending a hand by joining Club 600. You can make a one of payment of £600 or spread it over a standing order for time period that suits you. All you need to do is click here to download a Gift Form
Your gift, however large or small, can make a difference. If you would like to discuss Club 600 or any aspect of The Craigholme Foundation further, please contact the Business Office on 0141 423 7633 or email foundation@craigholme.co.uk
