Parents, pupils and staff of Craigholme joined thousands of other female competitors in the Women’s 10K race on 9 May.
The Craigholme team, which consisted of 48 runners, chose to support the school’s nominated charity, Yorkhill Children’s Foundation.
One pupil said, “The race was quite challenging but there was a real team spirit.”
Last year, Craigholme also entered a team which ran in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT), raising over £4,000 in sponsor money. This year’s total is yet to be announced.
The race started in Bellahouston Park with an estimated 13,000 runners raising over £1 million for charity. The race is the largest women-only race in Britain.
