A team of 3 Craigholme pupils won the Intermediate and Open Team showjumping competitions at the National Schools Equestrian Association Qualifier, which was held on 22 May at the Scottish National Equestrian Centre, at Oatridge.
The Craigholme team consisted of Jade Davidson on Black Mystery, Katy Campbell on Colbeach Royal Fanfare and Morvyn Robertson on Tip Toes 11. Jade won the open qualifier and Morvyn came second, Katy won the intermediate class and Morvyn was second. All three girls were on the winning intermediate and open teams.
The Craigholme team has now qualified for the National Championships to be held at Addington Manor in Oxfordshire in December.
Craigholme’s Equestrian Chef D’Equipe, Penny Clifford, said, “We believe we are the first Scottish Team and individuals to qualify for the National Championships as this was the first Scottish Competition held under The National Schools Equestrian Association. All 3 girls rode brilliantly should be really proud of their achievement.”
