Over 100 Craigholme School pupils from Nursery to S6 took to the catwalk to model the latest looks from a selection of High Street Stores and Local Boutiques to an audience of over 400 people.
The show, in association with Catwalk Productions, was hosted by TV Presenter and model, Angus Purden and Craigholme S6 pupils, Gemma Cowan and Lucy Symon.
Clothing was supplied by various retailers: Debenhams, (Silverburn Shopping Centre) Warehouse, (Silverburn Shopping Centre) D2, (Braehead Shopping Centre), Quiz (Silverburn Shopping Centre), Coast (Buchanan Street), Jeune Gens, (Silverburn Shopping Centre) Slaters (Howard Street), Pekino (Bothwell), Shanazia (Cathcart Rd), Lady Drawers (Pollokshields), Eyecandy (Clarkston Rd) and Rage (Bothwell).
Bethan Mann (S5) said, “The fashion show was amazing! It was a great feeling walking down the catwalk in front of a large audience, wearing a fabulous dress!”
The event, which was held in Craigholme’s Sports Complex on Haggs Road, raised over £2,000 for The Craigholme Foundation. The Foundation, was raises funds to support the school’s long-term development programme. Since its inception, The Craigholme Foundation has supported a number of significant school projects including the Sports Complex, Nursery and advanced science laboratory. The Foundation also supports the school’s bursary scheme, where the funds from The Fashion Show will be allocated. Sustained investment will benefit all pupils and ensure the continued vitality and stability of Craigholme – the only all-through girls’ school in the West of Scotland.
