S5 and S6 pupils participated in a live webcast lecture with Professor Tom Devine today. The world famous historian spoke about the impact of Scottish emigration in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, as over 2.3 million Scots left their homeland in the years between 1825 and 1938.
Streamed live from Glasgow’s Science Centre, Professor Devine’s lecture was given as the Royal Society of Edinburgh’s Christmas Lecture, and school pupils were encouraged to join the webcast. If you would like to watch the lecture, please follow this link.
