Sarah Peyto (S6) has been selected to participate in the Euroscola programme which will see her travel to the European parliament in Strasbourg in February. Euroscola incorporates a week of activities, most of which are conducted in French.
Sarah, along with pupils from across Europe, went through a rigorous application process to gain a place on the programme. Firstly she submitted an essay which was then followed by an interview with The Rotary Club of Queens Park. One candidate was then chosen from each rotary club across Britain.
Sarah said, “I am really looking forward to visiting Strasbourg. I was delighted to hear that I had won a place on the programme.”
Activities in Strabourg include undertaking a street survey in French to ask local people their opinions as well as discussions and debates, also conducted in French, with other students from across Europe.
